Can I put words in brackets or slashes and allow them to be accepted?

Yes, you can use brackets to add optional characters or notes. Anything entered within brackets (e.g. "delgado(a)" - delgado will be accepted; or "to run (past tense)" - to run will be accepted) is automatically optional in typing mode. Everything after slashes (/) can also be omitted from typing mode, e.g. ("delgado/a" - delagdo will be accepted.)
