Question:

State how the particles of a solid, liquid and gas are arranged.

Author: Anov Fernando

Answer:

Solid- Particles are in a fixed pattern(lattice) due to strong forces of attraction so they cannot leave their positions but are able to vibrate. Liquid- Particles can move about and slide past each other, the particles are clos to each other but not in a lattice as the forces holding them are weaker than in a solid. Gas- Particles are far apart and move about very quickly since there's almost no force holding them together.
