When the boy drops the football, the ball falls but had a few bounces against the rock. Why does the ball still bounce, however gets slower?

Answer:

The Ep and Ek gets lower and some of the energy which the ball originally had, get transferred to the surrounding air (and thermal energy in the ball itself) whilst it falls.
