• PGE1 • Naturally produced in tissues such as seminal vesicles & cavernous tissues, placenta and the ductus arteriosus in fetus • CA: used to treat ED and keep the PATENT DUCTUS ARTERIOSUS in neonates with congenital heart conditions until surgery is possible
ALPROSTADIL
• PGE1 • CA: for CHRONIC IDIOPATHIC CONSTIPATION, opioid-induced constipation; and irritable bowel syndrome with constipation • MOA: stimulates chloride channel in the luminal cells of the intestinal epithelium, thereby increasing intestinal fluid secretion
LUBIPROSTONE
